Dixie-Pacific™is now a Corporate Partner with the non-profit organization that
constructs homes specially adapted for returning U.S. veterans who are severely disabled while serving their country. According
to John Gonsalves, executive director of Homes for Our Troops. "We can
never give back to our valiant veterans the many arms and legs they've
lost at war. However, we can give them secure homes constructed to
support the new challenges they face when returning with life-altering
disabilities."
Founded
in 2004, Homes for Our Troops is currently working on more than a dozen
projects across the country for returning severely disabled veterans.
The organization has been recognized by President George W. Bush,
Daughters of the American Revolution and the PGA Tour for its dedicated
efforts to servicemen and women.
"The
homes we construct are all built from the heart with volunteer labor
and products," says Gonsalves. "There is never a cost to a recipient
veteran. We're trying to tackle the overwhelming housing needs of
severely disabled veterans one home at a time."
Dixie-Pacific™ will contribute low-maintenance fiberglass columns for the interior and exterior of homes.
